Why Buy a Repairable Vehicle from Auto Gator?

Most of the vehicles Auto Gator sells are classified as "repairable" or "salvage" — meaning they were either declared a total loss by an insurance company, or went through a title process that changed their history to salvage. An insurance company's decision to total a vehicle is a financial calculation, not a mechanical judgment. When the cost to repair exceeds a percentage of the vehicle's value, they write it off — even if the car is otherwise in excellent condition. That's your opportunity to buy a late-model vehicle at a fraction of its market value.

What Types of Damage Will I See?

Our inventory includes vehicles with a wide range of damage types. The most common are front-end collision damage, rear-end collision damage, side impact, hail damage, flood damage, theft recovery, and vandalism. Some vehicles have very minor cosmetic damage that any body shop can repair in a day. Others are more involved mechanical or structural repairs. Every vehicle listing includes photos and a description so you know exactly what you're looking at before you come in.

Can I Register a Salvage Title Vehicle in California?

Yes — California allows salvage title vehicles to be registered after they pass a DMV Salvage Vehicle Inspection (also called a Brake and Light Inspection). Once the vehicle passes inspection, the DMV issues a "Revived Salvage" title, which can then be registered and driven legally on California roads. Auto Gator's staff can walk you through the process and answer questions about what's required for the specific vehicle you're considering.

How to Buy a Repairable Vehicle from Auto Gator

You're welcome to come to our Roseville facility to inspect any vehicle in person — no appointment necessary during business hours. We accept cash, check, and most major credit cards. We do not currently offer in-house financing, but many customers arrange financing through their own bank or credit union prior to purchase.
