Price and Sales Tax

Our selling price does not include CA sales tax of 7.75% which is collected at the time of purchase. You will not have to pay sales tax again at the DMV when you re-register the vehicle. There are also no back fee penalties on most of our vehicles.

Vehicle Payment Policy

We accept cash, debit cards, and credit cards (a 3% processing fee applies), as well as cashier’s checks with restrictions. A deposit of 15% of the purchase price or $500 (whichever is greater) is required to hold a vehicle, and all deposits are non-refundable nor transferable. Deposits under $1,000 must be paid in full within 5 business days, and deposits of $1,000 or more must be paid in full within 10 business days; failure to complete payment within these timeframes may result in forfeiture of the deposit and the vehicle being relisted. Vehicles paid for with a cashier’s check will be held until funds are fully verified and cleared by our bank (which may take several days), and neither the vehicle nor the title will be released until payment has cleared. We do not accept personal checks, money orders, or wire transfers at this time, and financing is not available through us.

Paperwork Provided

When purchasing a salvaged vehicle from us, buyers will receive a California Bill of Sale REG 262 (Vehicle/Vessel Transfer and Reassignment Form) and a Auto Gator invoice showing payment with tax. This paperwork is sufficient to begin registering the vehicle in California. No physical title will be provided with the sale. Vehicles and paperwork are released only after full payment has been received and cleared.

Registration Information

This vehicle is not currently registered. It is the buyer's responsibility to re-register a salvaged vehicle. To re-register this vehicle, you will need to accquire a smog certificate, VSSI certificate (Vehicle Safety Systems Inspection), weight certification (for trucks) and possible vehicle inspection by CHP. Out of State / Exporter Information

Some states and countries require a physical title to register or import a vehicle. Since we do not provide a physical title, this may create registration or import issues outside of California. Export buyers are responsible for verifying all title, registration, and import requirements with their local DMV or customs authority prior to purchase. No exceptions, substitutions, or additional documents will be provided after the sale.

Prop 65 Warning:

Operating, servicing and maintaining a passenger vehicle or off-road vehicle can expose you to chemicals including engine exhaust, carbon monoxide, phthalates, and lead, which are known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm. To minimize exposure, avoid breathing exhaust, do not idle the engine except as necessary, service your vehicle in a well-ventilated area and wear gloves or wash your hands frequently when servicing your vehicle.
